MinSouth and the IOM3 sponsored the CRIRSCO Seminar on Competency and International Minerals Reporting at 1 Carlton House Terrace on 31 October 2011.
CRIRSCO is the Committee for Mineral Resevres International Reporting Standards. Since its founding in 1994 its primary objective has been the development of a set of international standard definitions for the reporting of mineral resources and mineral reserves.

On 31 October, it held a half day seminar at which presentations were given by committee members representing all the geographical areas and countries involved, Australia, Canada, Chile, Europe, South Africa and the USA.
The audience of over 40 included a delegation from Mongolia. The seminar ended with a ceremony to mark Russia joining the CRIRSCO Committee.
The attendees then retired to the Library at 1CHT for a wine and buffet reception funded by the Russian goldminer, Petropavlovsk.
